Peggy Steward, ARNP

With years of experience as a family nurse practitioner, Peggy will be able to assess you as a patient and create a custom weight-loss treatment plan that's right for you. She has seen the importance of maintaining a healthy weight on overall health. She has always enjoyed and known the importance of eating healthy and regular physical activity but weight loss is so much more than that. So many factors contribute to the disease of obesity. There are many changes in healthcare over the last few years and she was able to treat patient's co-morbid medical conditions but not able to get to the core root of the problem. She did not have enough time to educate or counsel patients in lifestyle changes that would benefit their health. She decided that she wanted to focus and provide direct care to patients to help meet their weight loss goals to improve their co-morbid conditions. This is why she went into the medical field, to truly help meet patients' health care needs.

Heidi Nixon, ARNP

Heidi Nixon is dual-certified as both an adult and gerontologic nurse practitioner. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she pursued a career as an exercise physiologist where she learned the importance of preventative care. As a proud military spouse, she's had the opportunity to live around the world, which were some of the most challenging yet rewarding times in her career, having dealt high stress of frequent moving every few years, changing jobs, leaving friends and family, new schools, new surrounds, dealing with long deployments, and raising a family. After retirement from the military, Heidi and her family moved back home to put down roots in the Tri-Cities. Her treatment philosophy is to treat the total person, not just the condition, while providing non-judgmental and compassionate care. It has been Heidi's goal to work in an integrative practice like Aspire Health where she can truly partner with the patient in navigating their unique healthcare needs, and help each person address their individual weight loss goals.
